Remember Us!
It's been quite difficult to do anything with all the lockdowns. We managed to get one Opus trip in between lockdown 1 and lockdown 2, plus a trip in a fish & chip train.

Who doesn't love a bit of pot painting? Especially when your pot is glazed and fired for you afterwards, so you can use it at home. It's quite a creative and relaxing experience, and something we'd definitely do again!

This was a trip that brought back some happy memories for me, as I hadn't seen a Concorde since I worked at Heathrow Airport, and it was a good day out too!

This week we've gone back in time to celebrate Christmas. We went to Ford Green Hall and learned how Christmas was celebrated in Tudor/Stuart times.

Another opportunity for us to celebrate Christmas early! This time at the Gladstone Pottery Museum. For us, this was a much better experience than the one we had at Middleport Pottery.

We love Christmas and John really loves Christmas! We went along to Middleport Pottery to see their Christmas lights switch on, and to enjoy some hot, spicy apple juice and mince pies.

I hadn't visited the Boat Museum at Ellesmere Port since I was a child, so it was great to be able to make a return visit. I'd forgotten what a fun and interesting place it was to visit!

The one part of this trip that terrified me was the cable car ride up to the Heights of Abraham! Apart from that, Matlock Bath is a nice town to visit and, for me, has a "sea-side" vibe.

It's fascinating to see how, as computers get more complex, they reduce in size. When you look at the huge computers used during WW2 at The National Museum of Computing, and compare them with the smart phones that most people carry today, the progress is amazing.

Home of the code-breakers, Bletchley Park is where the UKUSA Agreement was signed in 1946, marking the beginning of the Special Relationship. As John is from the US and I'm from the UK, it made us think about our Special Relationship!

Would you believe that we let John behind the steering wheel again?!

We knew about the Black Country Living Museum and Beamish, but we hadn't heard of Blists Hill Victorian Town until someone told us about it. We're glad they did!

Churchyards are full of history and Stoke Minster is no different. Its history dates back to 670AD and still has the remains of a stone Saxon cross, from 805AD, standing in the churchyard!

Do you know what Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is? I didn't until shortly before George was diagnosed with it. This is George's journey.
