Trip to Matlock Bath

The one part of this trip that terrified me was the cable car ride up to the Heights of Abraham! Apart from that, Matlock Bath is a nice town to visit and, for me, has a "sea-side" vibe.

If you're a Harry Potter fan then a visit to Warners Bros. Studio in Watford is an absolute must! There is an audio descriptive tour available, which is fantastic for any visually impaired members of your party.

The National Museum of Computing

It's fascinating to see how, as computers get more complex, they reduce in size. When you look at the huge computers used during WW2 at The National Museum of Computing, and compare them with the smart phones that most people carry today, the progress is amazing.

John Goes Driving!

Would you let a blind man drive your car? I know I wouldn't! However, there are places where visually impaired people can go to have this experience. This was John's experience of driving for the first time!

As a fan of history, I love visiting old places, so for this visit we went to a Victorian pot bank - Gladstone Pottery Museum in Stoke-on-Trent. It's a lot of fun and we learned something too!
